Fluid Glass Bowl
This client wanted a piece to reflect, but not copy, existing pieces in their collection. I took inspiration from their favourite elements and from the decoration in the room. Decorated with iridised glass in amber tones, each piece was hand cut and the edges polished and outlined. It depicts butterfly and dragonfly wing themes, hand painted with 18k gold lustre. The dish was fired numerous times to compose all the elements, resulting in a beautiful piece that shimmers in different gold tones depending on the light. It took 5 weeks from concept to completion.
★★★★★ This bowl is more than we could ever imagine! We are completely delighted with the design that Monica captured and it takes pride of place in our living room. Thank you so much Monica! -- Samantha, Reading

Personalised 18th birthday wall hanging
This piece was made for couple that wanted a special present for their daughter on her 18th birthday. We discussed their daughter's hobbies, career aspirations and her favourite things. I sent them some ideas on colours and images and different options to choose. I even included a picture of her beloved dog Guinness. The piece took about 6 weeks from concept to completion and sold for £150.
Many of my wall art pieces were made for commissions.
Moss glass bowl
This is an example of a piece commissioned by a client. They wanted a unique piece in green to match the decoration in their house, with an organic feel, reflecting their love for gardening. This took 2 weeks from concept to completion and was sold for £100.
★★★★★ Monica has created this stunning eye catching coral bowl. From the brief through design to delivery, I received great communication. Thank-you I am absolutely thrilled with the result and often show it off! -- Lorraine, WorcestershireBe inspired by some of my other bowls and vessels.

How to commission your own unique glass art
Things for both of us to think about!
1Inspiration
Talk to me about your requirements and ideas, including any examples or specific requirements.
2Design & Budget
Let me work up some design ideas to show you and agree the final piece, pricing and delivery.
3Creation
I will create your design and send you photos of the final piece and its process of creation.
4Shipping & Payment
If you are 100% happy then I can arrange getting the piece to you depending on your location.
Inspiration
Before you consider commissioning a piece, it's a good idea to have a clear idea of what you want.
- Have you seen something you loved?
- Have you looked at similar pieces from my previous works?
- Are there photos or personal items that you can show me?
- Are there particular colours, or colour-schemes that the piece needs to work with?
- Are there specific sizes or shapes, or does the piece need to fit into a particular space? Have you measured it?
Design & Budget
Once we have discussed your requirements and agree a price and a deposit - typically 50% - I can order the materials and get started. I may send you glass samples to choose from or we can meet if you are local.
Timing can be critical as some of the simplest ideas can be the most complex to create in glass. Is there a specific date that the piece is needed? Typically delivery is 4 - 6 weeks from starting. However some pieces have processes that take a lot more time to create than you might imagine.
Creation
My favourite part, of course, apart from hearing your feedback. If you would like me to keep a record of the piece as it develops, please let me know and I'll photograph it as I work.
I create every piece by hand and, naturally, some things things don't come out as I would like. I'll keep you informed and let you know of any problems that might affect either the design or the delivery.
It's important that we communicate throughout the process.
Shipping & Payment
Once you're completely happy with the piece, we can arrange payment and I will arrange shipping or collection.
I want every customer to be delighted with their purchase. If you don't like the piece when you receive it then of course you can return it, but please note that you will have to cover the shipping back fee. I will give you a refund on return, in its original condition, less the deposit. Please note that highly personalised pieces are not refundable once completed.
Please keep any protective packaging so that you can use this should you wish to return an item.
Drop me your email and I'll send you news on my latest projects
